Fleshlights in yellow, green, red polka dot...
I think there may be a market for them.

@coldharbour, I don't have a paint shop anymore, but still work closely with manufacturers when it comes to designing new paint schemes, branding etc. The majority of the paintwork was for manufacturing samples, example would be we'd sometimes get given 10 different frames and then paint each one different, manufacturer would then take their desired paint job to their manufacturer in China. We did a lot for MTB brands and general 'cycling lifestyle' brands.
@mustardbeak, thanks for your opinion!
The jerseys are a 'club fit' and they are a bit of fun and a little different.

Agreed, not a fan myself but might appeal to some people I guess

Some of the criticism is a bit harsh and it is good to see you persevere and work to get a cycling brand up and running in this thread. Just a thought that maybe people would respond here to seeing behind what you do a little, seeing mistakes and imperfections a bit more and perhaps being asked to engage in what they thought about the products you were creating and launching etc. Being a bit more collaborative than super cool 'brand' focussed. You might get some really good input to give you an idea of what works and doesn't. Ok, I've criticised myself there, but with the intention of helping anyway.

@Squaredisk thanks so much, I really appreciate that!
Taking that kind of comment onboard, I'd be interested in almost treating this thread like a blog, plus let people know what I'm up to?
I'm in the process of working with a fantastic chemical manufacturer on a new product, something that I believe will be a great product for those who hate cleaning their bikes, but need to clean it!
It's a spray on and wash off product, with a little bit of a twist. I'd be happy to offer samples out for this product, to get some feedback etc, if there's interest in this?
Thanks!

Your drinking habit is getting totally out of control

I'd be interested in trying it out.

Same here, why not?

I'd try it to use on the Mrs's bike, sick of having to clean that.
-
• #537
I'd give it a punt.

Thanks for the input!
Still in the very early stages of developing this product, but it's looking to be something that you can simply spray on your bike, agitate with a detailing brush and wash off with fresh water.
I'd like to establish that there is a market for this product, so the following questions will be a bit of market research. I'd like to thank those of you who are helping me on this, there will be many samples, discount codes and freebies coming out of it!
Last week, I had a sit down with a fantastic chemist called James, he's been producing the raw cleaning products for the last 10 years for quite a large manufacturer. We had a sit down over a coffee and I told him my vision for the product, what I wanted it to do and what it'll come up against. 3 days later, he sent me 2 samples in the post for me to try, one of them was terrible and did nothing, but the other was fantastic, a real pleasure to use and the results were great, this is what we're going to be developing together.
How many of you hate cleaning bikes?
What product do you currently use?
How long does it take?
What is your opinion on the results you get?
How important is it that a product is 'satisfying to use'? (smells nice, good quality bottle that is easy to use, foams up lots for example)
What price range would you be happy to pay for a bike cleaning product? Something that would be able to quickly and easily remove all dirt from your bike.
I'd also like to know why those of you who hate cleaning your bike actually hate it!

How many of you hate cleaning bikes?
Shall we start a list? What product do you currently use?
Muc Off, degreasers, purple something-or-other, washing up liquid. How long does it take?
Depends how long it's been since the last time/what season it is/whether there's other maintenance to do at the same time. 15 mins to an hour. What is your opinion on the results you get?
Depends on how meticulous I'm feeling. Usually passable. How important is it that a product is 'satisfying to use'? (smells nice, good quality bottle that is easy to use, foams up lots for example)
It makes the experience more pleasant but I don't think that would be my motivation for the whole undertaking. What price range would you be happy to pay for a bike cleaning product? Something that would be able to quickly and easily remove all dirt from your bike.
It would have to be really good to cost more than a tenner considering the job/number of washes a cheap bottle of washing up liquid manages.I'd also like to know why those of you who hate cleaning your bike actually hate it!
I wouldn't say I hate it. Any more than the basics is an indulgence at the moment as I don't have much time. -

Speed Detailer
It's perfect for matte and gloss bikes, simply a case of spraying the product on the provided microfibre cloth and wiping away. Matte finishes pick up fingerprints, oil and marks very easily, this product will restore to original. Gloss finishes with be enhanced.
You'll really notice your frame has this product applied when you ride in the wet, the water beads up amazing well, also helps with future cleaning as the dirt doesn't penetrate. This lasts for 2 weeks.

Not very "lfgss" but I can imagine there is probably a sizeable market for them, especially at Christmas time, work leaving present etc...
Also, people do love combining interests...
