Hernandez is a goal every two games man, that puts him as one of the top strikers in the league. Better average than Lukaku over the past 2 seasons & slightly behind Costa. Seems like an astute signing to me

Yup it's pretty close and obviously Lukaku is younger but I was mainly trying to say that the price they've paid for Hernandez in my opinion represents vfm.

Though at 29 they will need to find a replacement in the next 3 years.

What is vfm now? Since the tv deal we're seeing pretty good fullbacks going for 50m and 180(?)eur for an 18yo. The market has bumped so hard that average players can represent value at 30m. 16m for someone to score 10-15 goals mostly off the bench is probably the going rate
