Yea drilled would always be best.
It's a beauty. Sadly not mine.
I agree its a lot of money to spend, but I wouldn't say it will look bodge. They look a lot cleaner than the fork clamp brakes.
(The spacers on the fork mean you wouldn't need to run smaller tyres.)
