Point taken, it looks fairly clean but I guess there's more flex than with a normal brake on a drilled fork. Nice rensho, yours? P.s. an njs training steed with drilled forks might be a sensible solution. https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13477419/

I agree its a lot of money to spend, but I wouldn't say it will look bodge. They look a lot cleaner than the fork clamp brakes.
(The spacers on the fork mean you wouldn't need to run smaller tyres.)
