The judge does not go into detail about what the father's 'strong views' are, but if they have anything to do with weird religious cults or conspiracy theories then the Scandi child protection authorities might very well have made his life hell.

I get the impression that the 'strong views' are more about roles in society, based upon the implied bias against fathers shown by the court, probably with an undercurrent of rejecting authority apart from his own.
