• The 24 last weekend was mental. Never done it before and always wondered why people did. Now i know, the rollercoaster but never feeling like you can pack in. It like your on a long ride and your over half way, you cant turn back and whats the poibt your over half way. words just dont do it justice. It is run by special people who know. I missed my target of but that was due to near hypothermia and i fell asleep. Next year i hope to do better. Garmin recorded 348 miles but the unoffial results have me less. Maybe a lap got missed off not sure no matter if they dont match. I used a road bike without extension bars and 1x11 gearing. I'll be back next year more organised and better able to cope with lack of sleep. Just cutting down on the stopped time will help alot. Sleeping more the week before will help alot. Got another 12hr this weekend. My dad helped me. He's up for supporting next year. I think he enjoyed it too. Michael broadwidth has done it again. But i think everyone did well. Hopefully next year it will be tougher. No point in it being easy is there.

  • Good work. That's a solid effort getting round on a day like that. I'm not sure what number you were but hopefully I said something nice to you :)

Good luck in the 12 - you must be barmy.
