• Got given a Seiko 4205 and the stem is broken. Am I right in saying that all I need to do is buy a replacement crown and stem and pop out the old one out by pressing this button?

    ...So on closer inspection, the stem has snapped right at the crown. How on earth do I extract the remaining stem from the crown with nothing to grab? Can a replacement be sourced?

  • Replacement should be possible if there is nothing left to grip. Be warned though, choosing the right replacement is tricky!

    Cousins should have the right thing in stock though

    Edit: any chance of a pic of the crown and case?

  • Thanks @pdlouche getting the stem out of the movement. Should be easy (he says...) - it's getting the snapped stem out of the crown which is going to be tricky :/
