I think that this is because this the Rapha thread, which is full of aficionados and the v occasional hater. It's not the place to come for even-handed criticism. For that you'll need either the London Review of Books or Dan Savage's sex advice column.

I think in future I'll just tattoo it to my arse and hover in front of club rides in my see-thru-audaxer-special-10yrs-old-lidl-bibshorts and hope they're not too distracted by the sight of my rusty nail hole to read it.

Call that what you want, whist fucking yourself with a broken bottle.
Is this really necessary?
Since your posts come from such a large pool of zen, perhaps you should step away from the keyboard and retreat there.

If you want to be philosophical about it, nothing is necessary outside the requirements for sustaining life, including the totally unrelated jibe based on national stereotypes that I was responding to. Why take exception to one and not the other?

When pleasuring oneself with a broken bottle; should you opt for the small or large bidon?

I would only ever advocate the large.

I read this thread because it makes me suffer, and there is glory in suffering.

http://www.trekitt.co.uk/ seems to be the cheapest for the hooded version, for the regular you can find the baby blue and vermillion regular versions cheaper than the black though.

Thank you for accessing your zenpool of stillness to find time to reply.

No, thank you for giving me the opportunity to satisfy your material needs, extraneous as they may or may not be on a level of existential necessity-it is my sincerest and most gracious pleasure.

Yes, only whilst store is open.
You can join online and then access hire after that.
This is why I joined the RCC, you've got a high chance of their being a Raphé near to where you are going, the bikes are high spec (although the one I had most recently was in severe need of a fresh bottom bracket, much to the ongoing amusement of everyone I was riding with as it creaked like a galleon under full sail) and cheap. The three day thing is fine for a weekend. Only problem is that they've got (as far as I can tell) two of each size, and often one of them is broken (or at least Boulder have had only one L available this year), but booking far enough in advance gets round this.

I bought a jacket from rapha about a month ago and have decided I don't really want it and need to return it. Still got tags but for some reason I didn't receive an emailed receipt. The jacket is now in the sale but id obviously want the return of the original purchase price.
Am I buggered here?
lol at the attempts to make this about 'hating' Rapha. If I hated it, I wouldn't buy it full stop and as I've said fuck knows how many times, some things are excellent.
Rapha used to be contentious mostly because of the price, but the quality of the gear justified it.
Now it's just incredibly hit and miss what's actually any good or worth the spend, which combined with inconsistent changes to cut and size make it increasingly less likely I'd spend the money there.
Pointing that out is hardly the rant of the century, is it? Or do some people still live in a bubble of butt hurt indignation whenever their favourite brand has some pretty rational and qualified criticism levelled at it?
