I assumed he'd be racing since he'd have plenty of recovery time and it's his pet event. Maybe he grew tired of dominating it.

There's an interview with Kristof on Facebook by Rupert Guinness who bumped into him watching the Tour last week.
He said he's not riding as he's done it three times so had enough of it.
Said he might do IPWR next year.
