Rapha promises much for an equivalent price tag. Old product, as I said, was excellent.
New product, on receipt, pretty shit by comparison.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt by ordering, no? I've compared it less favourably to both the old version and the Brevet insulated, which are both excellent.
Call that what you want, whist fucking yourself with a broken bottle.
Received transfer jacket. Shit fit aside, which I kind of expected, I'm amazed at how poor the quality is compared to the original. 'Lightweight' seems to be a euphemism for or 'flimsy as fuck' and it just looks/feels cheap by comparison-considering the Brevet insulated jacket is designed to be packable/lightweight enough for riding it's still something I'd feel is more durable for wearing day to day than the transfer and the level of insulation seems about the same. Ah well boo hoo, will try an Arceteryx instead.
Outside of the classics range which seems to have retained the previous level of quality I really dunno if I'd buy anything else now (maybe aside for the limited release caps that pop up for ToC/ToJ that i'm a magpie for) as it doesn't seem that the value versus $$$ ratio has been preserved elsewhere. Is it just me that thinks this?
