  • Petrol/diesel cars don't need replacements of a big engine parts every 2-3 years

    • Engine oil
    • Oil filter
    • Engine air filter
    • Fuel filter
    • Coolant
    • Spark/glow plugs

    Plus all the hoses, relays and sensors that EVs don't have which may or may not need replacing.

  • A massive battery VS those parts, but yes you are right: Wear and tear hits everything. Oil filter/oil is once a year, at least.

    So, how is this government working out the whole lifecycle? It's just a question, you are right about those parts too.

    These are conservatives, if they considered whole lifecycles they wouldn't be so ideologically wed to privatisation and they'd understand Keynesian economics enough to realise that Austerity is economic suicide.
