• One of the schemes I'm working for has been having a ponder recently about ways to help instructors maintain qualifications while only really working for them. At the moment it's largely geared up around delivering training at schools and instructors then being linked with an ITO who will most of the time deliver in schools. If an instructor is just working for a scheme they fall by the wayside and I'm unsure exactly when but qualifications then lapse(more so if NSIP?) and that then impacts insurance and risk assesments the scheme have done saying x number of qualified staff will be at sessions. Also putting people into training to become NSIP knowing they won't ever go for NSIQ due to the nature of the work has it's own issues not to mention costs.

I know this was highlighted in some of the bikeability yearly reviews with increasingly bold font but has anyone found a solution?
