Obviously that driver who started this has trouble using a steering wheel. I wonder who should be banned.
In 24hrs on sunday only two cars passed close one after another as I was passing fairly close to a slower rider while there was traffic comming the other way. The traffic comming the other should have but did not cause the drivers (given I moved out ahead of them in time) to use there brake pedal obviously that was too hard as well.

Too many road works not worth cycling on a motorway. Barely worth driving on one. M6 on sunday evening/night was more of a car park.

Definatley lost. Looking at the 24hrs worlds. Fancy a trip to california and 400 miles would put me in a decent place judging by last years results. maybe in 2018.

Cali is nice. Do it.
So many people now asking me about 'going long'. Yeah, I made 24hrs cool.

Good work. That's a solid effort getting round on a day like that. I'm not sure what number you were but hopefully I said something nice to you :)
Good luck in the 12 - you must be barmy.

For sure - TTs don't get any cooler. Thanks for showing me the way. Hopefully you'll be back soon.

Let me know when you're not racing and then there's a point to me turning up :)
I'll probably race another 24hr one day (Mersey is fun) but I got a bit sick of them to be honest. Just kept going slower and slower while getting faster at the short stuff which I wasn't actually training for.

It'll be as soon as we can, final CAD may have been sorted this afternoon but I'll find out on Monday when I'm back in the office. Here's the latest version (AeroCoach Affix) on Hamish Bond's Trek Speedconcept - the mech hanger is non removable so you might as well have something to fill the hanger gap to make it slightly more aero

Better late than never:

I just forgot to post this link when it was a current story. If you haven't seen it already, I hope it still has some interest.
Just one point not in the report - what a pity umop3pisdn just failed, by a gnat's whisker, to get
under the four hour mark - all the effort, just a slight imperfection in the conditions! I would have felt able to mention his ride if he had done so, because many people (outside this forum) are impressed by any good ride done without the dubious benefit of a derailleur. -

Duggelby has done a provisional 324 miles (27mph!) in the Breckland 12 despite two punctures - another comp record gone.
Edit - although people are now saying maybe 'just' 315? TBC.

317.2

Just shy then?

I rode that yesterday. It was a windy day to. 324 miles or 317 that alot more than me. he maybe on a TT bike but still an achievement and a half. The A11 was busy which would have helped. I did not feel that safe on this course. way too many on the A11 passed in the same lane a bit too close. One driver on the finishing circuit pulled out of a T junction only to stop jst before they T-boned me.
I did manage a PB though 226 miles. Previous was 214. I dont think I had recovered from the 24hr last weekend. I struggled for several hours trying to keep fueled. -
