  • Yeah, just screw the L limit in to push the cage over. Simples.

  • @Sainsburys_Ed if you can find a recent drive side photo of Mark Jones then he has an interesting looking chain catcher... I saw it at a couple of local club TTs but don't have any pics. It was probably custom, but still looked fast.

  • You mean his dodgy chainring fairing setup? Shades of Bowdler...

  • Does anyone comply with the regs these days?

  • my main reason for not having a front derailleur is that im too cheap to pay for a di2 one that I'd never use in a race, the small drag saving is a bonus, some custom made fancy thing would cost at least as much as a di2 front so I'd probably just get one of those!

  • Looks like a pretty functional chain keeper to me...

  • I have a Di2 DA one sitting around doing nothing. I'm ok with that though because it's a National Champs winning Di2 FD :)

Old Ultegra is on mine but I've been talking to a guy who will be custom making some so I can pass details on once I've got one in hand.

  • If you want to send me a di2 mech feel free.

If I come across any midgets (old Skool Lfgss reference) I'll send them your way in return...

  • ? We did have some problems with medals on the night. I should have checked before I placed it around you neck...

I ll see what the ladies have...

  • Sure, I can send it to you for free.

    Postage will be £300 though.

No midgets before TCR - I'm taking the transcon very seriously.

    does another shot of absinthe

You are welcome to the Campag FDs. They're way more aero than the Di2 anyway.

  • Why not a narrow wide ring. I use one on my road bike. Works a treat.

  • Hard to find in the big sizes

  • Wash your mouth out... campy?!

Good old 5700 has done the trick, going to make warming up on the little tricky as I already struggle to put the rear wheel on properly let alone adjust limit screws!

  • On that subject. Has anyone got a technique to remove/install a rear geared wheel into TT dropouts without getting caked in oil?

  • The 24 last weekend was mental. Never done it before and always wondered why people did. Now i know, the rollercoaster but never feeling like you can pack in. It like your on a long ride and your over half way, you cant turn back and whats the poibt your over half way. words just dont do it justice. It is run by special people who know. I missed my target of but that was due to near hypothermia and i fell asleep. Next year i hope to do better. Garmin recorded 348 miles but the unoffial results have me less. Maybe a lap got missed off not sure no matter if they dont match. I used a road bike without extension bars and 1x11 gearing. I'll be back next year more organised and better able to cope with lack of sleep. Just cutting down on the stopped time will help alot. Sleeping more the week before will help alot. Got another 12hr this weekend. My dad helped me. He's up for supporting next year. I think he enjoyed it too. Michael broadwidth has done it again. But i think everyone did well. Hopefully next year it will be tougher. No point in it being easy is there.

  • I asked on here for busted deraillers. Of course they were gonna be Campy. Shimano are all still working. :)

  • Take the skewer out.
I normally then use a rag to keep my finger clean, put said finger under the chain, pull chain backwards and using the other hand push the wheel into the track ends and drop the chain over the cassette. Removal is easier because you can normally just grab the jockey wheel cage and wiggle it to unseat the chain from the cassette as you pull out the wheel without touching the chain at all.

  • Another poor soul lost to the ultraworld...

    Looked grim!

    Well done on finishing! :)

Get rid of the oil. All the cool kids are running dry lubricants on their chains these days.

  • Shades of Bowdler...

    Shades of shopping bike...

  • Found another front mech in the parts bin, going to see how much I can chop off without stopping doing what I need it to do...

  • Sounds like we're missing out - how do I start a petition to allow cycling on motorways?

  • Garbaruk made me one at a very decent price 52T in green 130BCD. 80 USD I think.

I also have of them a 46T 135 BCD for campag 5 arm from them. same price. It might have been cheaper.

    search for them.
