I love those bikes - there's a special place in my dream garage for the round eye Blades. A true design classic. Still a proper lairy bike and absolutely not eclipsed by honda since.

Well, I've sold my other bike. I only possess a 1992 Blade now. It's like a comfy pair of slippers to get on, and just sublime to ride.

could do! They're rare now though....and prices have crept up. The 929 is probably the bargain of the dynasty, had one for a minute and it was a fantastic bike.

Make it easy for your self. Different solutions on that site here. Also a wall mounted solution if I recall correctly. Shed anchor or so.

Is the floor not concrete? Can then put in a ground anchor secured with botls.
Same site as reen suggested, double doofer. I installed one in the rental garage I have.

Were both done at the same time?
My bike is still in warranty so I'm reluctant to make too many changes, but the AI removal and exhaust are planned. There's a lot of chat about how much difference fiddling with the airbox makes, but I'm not quite convinced as no one seems to put numbers behind it. My gut says the time spent making snorkels and airboxes those funny shapes has been spent for a reason.
The TOR for the scrambler are still fairly pricey for what is effectively just the end. Because they won't drop off any weight either I'm still drawn most to the VW pipe mod (or the shorty mod). Just need to put a bit of time in for planning the heat shields to work out how to ensure it looks OEM...
...at the moment the plan is probably to try and pick up a full stock exhaust to butcher the rear heat shields so I have a replacement that can be kept or parted out later.
@Chak - because it brings you closer to the sound? Or just looks? TBHI'm not a massive fan, but also on the Bonneville range they bring up a load of other mods. You really need to drop or change the instruments. The Scram has a smaller headlamp, so that may work with the stock brackets/ears, but they may need changing too. Might also need to do the cables, so all round it adds up.

I had them done together. I've no idea if the AI removal helps with the sound, but it looks cleaner, you can see the spark plugs, and it was supposed to help reduce exhaust blueing. Not sure it worked in that last respect.
The TORs sound great, like a Triumph twin should sound, but you can phut phut phut at low revs if you want, such as when passing a police horse.
I would expect airbox mods to make it louder, but I've no idea whether it would result in a nicer noise, especially on a fuel injected bike. Never done it on my carbed machine. -

Always quite liked the bluing. I think you can also get more efficient/larger which are meant to dissipate heat and reduce it.

Taking into account the huge choice of bikes available in the UK and possibly near to your location it would have to be pretty rare to be worthwhile.

Had an idea of buying a piaggio ape (50?) from somewhere in the bottom of Italy then driving/riding/pushing it back to the UK.
Once I'd actually driven/ridden/pushed one a few miles I'd had my fill of hot, noisy, slow, comically slow terror and decided it was a terrible idea and I should just enjoy my holiday.But then I saw one of the mad 1950's British 3 wheel van things (that the plant was sold to someone in Croatia or former republic of... and they built them up till late 80's) that look right out of an industrial sci-fi movie and decided thats what I REALLY needed. If anyone EVER see's one for sale anywhere, message me immediately. They are borderline worthless, and likely even more terrible to drive/ride/die inside than an Ape50, but just such a mental vehicle.

It's got one wheel which does all the things, steering, power, brakes, stops the front end from being on the tarmac. Also 2s, so its gonna smell good.

I am officially stumped for bikes and have no Idea what I want. I want to explore, but I also want to go fast. Street triple fits the bill, but all the good ones are out of the way. 600rr sounds like a riot, but getting to places where it's in its element are also out of the way.
Fz6 is within budget, but not that keen on a strict tourer.
