• ^^2020i's aren't "small" in my book. They're quite deep and mounting 28 of them would be a bugger. The bespoke brackets cost about £40 a pair too.

  • Do you need so many speaker pairs? If it's for critical listening then more than one pair in a room will ruin it and if you're just doing background muzak-y things then wouldn't a radio-style unit suffice?

    Can you link the chromecast audios to stream to multiple rooms at once?

    Wouldn't it be better to spend £3k on a separates system you can really enjoy listening to rather than having poor quality audio in every room in the house? Or spend £2k and the rest on records.

  • have you worked out your kitchen design yet?

    If you're planning wall-mounted cabinets then there are quite a few sound bar options that will fit seamlessly / discretely under the overhangs.
