Ha! Amazing. I did wonder if you might see this. Thanks so much mate - you've put my mind to rest, as it was doing my head in thinking I may have let it go. Also glad that I went with my gut instinct and left you alone as soon as I saw it was different... Sorry if I startled you at all. For the record it didn't cross my mind for a second that you had stolen it, I was fully expecting an awkward conversation about how much you paid for it!
Very kind of you to keep a look-out, too. What you saw sounds about right - someone saw it shortly after it was stolen, kids down by the canal by Olympic Park. I don't expect to find it now, but if that was it, I'm happy to hear it was still in the area as late as Thurs. I didn't see it down Brick Lane, either.
Thanks again
Hi mate,
That was me you ran after...sorry to say that it definitely isn't your bike. Mine is a Steamroller, bought off @aquatic on this forum a couple years back. Totally understand why you would have stopped me though - just saw your drawing and they look pretty similar, especially the frame colour and the wide bars.
Weirdly, I think I may have seen your bike on my way home that day (Thursday), being ridden by a kid riding with a bunch of his mates in Victoria Park (on the path parallel to the canal, eastern section). I did think at the time that it looked like my bike but I hadn't seen your sketch until today. Definitely cream frame, black fork, single speed and wide bars. I live nearby so if I see it I'll see what I can do.
Best of luck
