  • Doesn't that first post look like satire, or does the poster have form?

  • you would hope so but this is the link they posted:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caP7VY5trw8&app=desktop

This makes me think it was some bleary eyed cretin who got thrown out the village local early enough to have time to kill on his laptop before passing out.

  • "vive the UK" ? #lolocopter

Their username pronounced "bucket" I assume? :)

  • Brexit voters are allowed computers?

That explains how they all patted each other on the back until they thought it was a good idea...

  • So the top three split by two flat TTs and other contenders taken out by crashes.

Oh well. Hopefully next year it's Froome v Bardet v Dumoulin v Landa v Porte v Aru v Quintana.

  • If we discount time bonuses, Froome took time out of Uran and Bardet in 4 stages. They took time out of him on one stage.

  • A Colombian, two taffies, and some EU nationals help a Kenyan dude to victory? If this is the template for post Brexit Blighty things may not look that bad.

  • Final prize money list.

  • Crikey, losers don't get much do they?

  • Winners take all.

  • And both uran and bardet should have been docked 20 seconds, which would have put landa on the podium

  • I am certain that I have seen mamils on etape that have more budget than cofidis

  • The weighting of the prize cash seems somewhat top-heavy?

Movistar, oh deer. I might put some dirty money on dirty Valverde's dirty vuelta.

  • The bulk of the prize money goes to the top 5 on GC and the classification winners. Sky took so much because Froome won €500k for winning, plus Landa would've won approx €75k for fourth.

  • I look forward to a tour when the GC jersey is less improtant and the KOM, sprint and stages are the main goals.
I think we might see a trend towards this. I think it would make the racing a lot better.

And froome still hasn't won a bike race this year, crazy huh.

  • Uhm, he just won the biggest race of the year.

  • Wasn't there someone else who didn't win a stage but won the tour? It's attritional the gc stuff isn't it?

  • I think Froome is the 7th rider to win the Tour without winning a stage. Oscar Periero in 2006 was the last, Lemond in 1990 the one after that.

  • Pah, but not a stage. You know what I mean.

  • The bulk of the prize money goes to the top 5 on GC and the classification winners. Sky took so much because Froome won €500k for winning, plus Landa would've won approx €75k for fourth.

Plus winning the team classification must have helped. And their one stage win.

  • I had them up on Twitter: constant negative reporting of Sky yet they ran a gushing article about Roche's triple crown a few days before.

  • Awesome result for Cannondale, let hope they can fund some more support for Uran for the next season.

  • Shame to see Quintana 15.28 back in the end, guess he just didn't have the legs?

  • That's the fourth consecutive GT he has ridden for the general classification;

    Tour 2016: 3rd
    Vuelta 2016: 1st
    Giro 2017: 2nd
    Tour 2017: 12th

I reckon he deserves a break.

  • That time travelling can't have been easy :)
