• More of a DJ question but looking for a compact dj controller so i can do mixes from lap top, i dont have decks set up any more, and the key is compact as dont have the space in HK for desk set up. Has any one got similar or used a good one.

    I have an older version (DJ2). The pic here is the DJ4. These devices have multiple assignments for every button and knob, accessed via the shift function ... very capable.

  • I use a Numark Mixtrack Pro 3. It's been great for home use, house parties and also small sized warehouse parties so it's quite versatile for a cheap controller. It has full size pitch faders too which I quite like.

    It uses Serato, the free version is okay but I felt it was worth paying for the full version - if you're going down this route, there are bundles available which I think makes it a bit cheaper.
