  • As a brand if you didn't reproduce and rerelease cult classics to meet demand then you would be very foolish.

  • I'm struggling to think of another brand that shamelessly reproduces its own discontinued watches and fake ages them to look like they are vintage. Obviously many watch brands maintain and evolve a design, as Omega does with the speedmaster or Rolex does with the sub, but that's totally different from reissuing something from the past as as straight copy and then making it look vintage.
    When Rolex revived the millgauss for example, it looked nothing like the 1019. Tudor's heritage line definitely gives a nod to the big blocks and the subs, but they're clearly not reissues of old watches.

    What's next, new watches with tropical dials?
