    Unless landa has been hiding some sprint skills going to be difficult for him to grab some bonus seconds. Furthermore sky will do themselves no favours with the french public if they do manage to pull off some stunning upset and push bardet off the podium. For a rider who is leaving at the end of the season...

    All seems a stretch.

  • The Tour in, I think, 2005. Vinokourov was a few seconds behind Leipheimer, attacked on the final stage with Brad McGee and they stayed away. Vino moved up a place on GC.

    But I'd agree with the rest of your comment, Sky don't need to move Landa up, especially if he's leaving the team at the end of the year, and the reputational damage wouldn't be worth it. It would make them even more unpopular in the peloton too, which can come back to haunt you.
