I reckon you might find space on the lower slopes, definitely where the water station was on etape

aren't the women about to ascend the izoard?
-
• #3529
if there are any of them left after all this crashing

Also patently not racist anyway if read the wrong way.
Excited to see if Bardet can do something to shake it up today.

Apparently Uran wasn't on his chosen bike for the first TT. He had to change last minute because it didn't meet UCI regs.
God that seems a long time ago: 'Wowee Geraint Thomas in yellow. Vortex vortex etc'

Ooops. Is this was @umop3pisdn was referring to?

In so far as he was on a Cannondale, yes? Even Cannondale admit it's not very aero.
I think Cannondale Drapac have been using the old Slice RS when they're not messing about with disc brakes, because it's faster than the new one. Perhaps Uran had to the use the new one for the Prologue?

I've heard that the team wanted to use a non-Cannondale frame, badged up as a Cannondale but the sponsor refused that request.
I wonder if they'll change their mind if Uran has the possibility of winning the Tour on Saturday?

Would be hilarious. Would be pretty obvious, but there could well be 10+w up for grabs.

Great link, thanks.

Playing fast and loose with the definition of 'interesting' there.

• #3540
Sorry, I'll go back to the aero and TT threads.

Think he switched to his spare bike as his main bike didn't meet UCI Regs/measurements. I would assume his spare was set up exactly the same, but apparently not.

Basically, I think it would be too suspicious if I took multiple toilet breaks to watch on itv player...

Guess this stage gets interesting if Froome is isolated early somehow or AG2R pull another surprise. Surely only gaining a few seconds on Froome isn't enough at this point, it has to be all or nothing?
-
• #3544
Lizzie Deignan has basically ridden everyone off her wheel apart from Elisa Longo Borghini and Shara Gillow. 3km left.
-
• #3545
Which are themselves crude Italian stereotyping though, shaky ground...
-
• #3546
Annemiek van Vleuten still solo out the front, 35 second gap. Under 2km left. Lizzie has now dropped the other two and chasing Annemiek solo.
-
• #3547
Longo Borghini now chasing Lizzie. 1km left. Looks to be tied up for Annemiek.

Based on the performances in the Dauphine TT, Froome will probably put around 1:30 into Bardet tomorrow. He's going to need 2mins on him today.
Looks like Froome's form has been targeted to peak for this stage and the TT. -
• #3549
Annemiek wins. Second to Lizzie.

^^He explicitly said that in the ITV4 interview last night, referring to "my periodisation" being all about this week.
Yep correct. Thats all.
