The Croix de Fer goes on and on. I did it in the rain on the Marmotte and felt like I'd been climbing for ages only to pass under the 25 kms to go to the summit banner. Looks like the weather is a lot better today.
It may be as tough a climb as I've ever done, that first third up to L'Rivier D'Allemont, is nearly all false flat IIRC, lovely views but.........
It pissed down when I rode it in 2011. I thought I was going to freeze to death on the way back down.
