  • Found: White Dolan Pre Cursa track bike

Guy paid £20 for it from a kid in Whitechapel, can you help us reunite it with the owner?

  • This bit made me chuckle. Bad Cyclist thread crossover:
She said: "I cycled on the pavement, fell off a couple of times, then I saw a corner, took it and cycled as fast as I could and didn't look back."

  • Hi, i would really appreciate your eyes and help with trying to find my stolen road bike. Its a pinarello dogma 65.1 team sky black, 50 cm top tube, zipp 90mm stem, speedplay zero pedals, Arione Donna fizik saddle, di2. It has 'sky' written in white on the seatpost . Its very rare and can be spotted easily.

It's been nicked in camden, parkway

I'm offering £150 cash on return

  • there's a stolen bikes thread which you might have more luck in and it's maybe not a good idea to put your frame no. on the internet. hope you get it back, good luck!

  • thanks for advice. ill move it there
p.s. i have a receipt and ownership papers so that number doesnt mean much without it

  • The reason why Theoazb said that was because a thief that searches for the frame number will find this thread and will be able to monitor what happens, perhaps even posing as an 'honest' finder to claim the reward. That said, as the bike is very distinctive they'll probably be able to find it, anyway. Good luck with recovering it!

  • thank you! luckily i have his face on cctv and the police is already doing the job finding him, obviously takes a bit of time but im able to tell the face so ill give him the reward if he asks for it, a very deep reward . true tho, i understand.

  • So they get a mate to return it do, file the number off etc. Either way, you're not really going to harm yourself by removing the frame number from your post.

  • thanks everyone for your insight.

  • All the best getting it back.

  • UPDATE

I think I saw my bike this morning at the junction of Hackney Road & Cambridge Heath. I ran after them, but when I got there the details were slightly different (grips changed, bell on other side) and I panicked thinking I'd just apprehended someone on a road unnecessarily. Bit of an edgy situation so not as easy as you'd like to think in your head... But I'm now absolutely kicking myself for not asking more questions and insisting that I looked closer. Ah man.

Anyway, if anyone sees it in that area, I don't know, please lock it and get in touch..? I'm the same user, just logged in this time.

  • You were logged in the last time, too, just hadn't chosen a username. You now have two accounts that you can ask Velocio to merge if you can be bothered.

  • Ahhh, I used my old email, that's why. Not a regular. @Velocio could you sort that out please if possible? Thanks @Oliver Schick.

  • I think he prefers if you send him an e-mail, david@lfgss.com, with the two accounts that need to be merged, but maybe he'll see this.

  • I saw the kid with his friends in front of Costcutter, Commercial Road/Whitehorse Road monday night at around 6pm with the bike. I was sure the bike was a stolen bike, I checked on here if someone had his bike stolen as soon as I came back, and here we have the bike!!

  • It definitely wasn't your bike I'm afraid.

  • Unlikely as it was stolen in Surrey, but I had my four day old mountain bike stolen in Camberley this morning. Only non stock features are some FWE (Evans) ergo grips, Garmin mount with Garmin touring on it and some Shimano M530 trail pedals.....

  • Where in Camberley? My family live there and I know a few of the local bike shops so can put a word in.

  • Merged the Pinarello ^^ into this thread.

  • There's a couple of Surrey / Southern MTB groups on facebook, might be worth putting the details there.

  • Yeah, will do Howard. Thanks @jesm - just off the A30 between American Golf and the Volkswagen garage.

  • Fuck

    Hope it's found soon

  • I'd take a look on the Old Dean. If it's between American Golf and Volkswagen garage, I'd be almost certain it was stolen by some kid from that estate.
Ask at reception at Collingwood College too (school on the Old Dean). I used to go there and there were bike thefts all the time, along with bikes left on the school premises not locked up.
Edit: Wellington Park/Gibbet Lane are two other spots you might find it.

  • Nice one, cheers @jesm - yeah that was the first place we drove this morning but didn't see anyone. Thanks for the pointer Re the other two places. It was between 6.50 and 6.55 in the morning though. Kids are asleep till at least 7! We think it was probably some opportunistic scally's in a van.
