• I've got 953 frame aswell. The tubeset appears to be holding the leader position for a long time now in terms of strongest and lightest steel. Think for 15 years now?
    When do you think a product from either columbus or reynolds will supersede it? Or even a product from the east.
    On side note I've heard the columbus spirit is lighter them 953? Is this true... but it's not stainless so..... mehh

  • The metals are adapted from other industries such as nuclear. Reynolds gets plane tubing from American supplier and then manipulate them into butted tubing for frames.
    So hopefully there still is more development to come.
    As for carbon, graphene appears to be the new frontier.
