Yeah, I think I might give the x-kings a go... Especially since schwalbe have now put those bloody coloured stripes on all their top tyres.
I figure the slightly narrower x-kings should end up about the same width as the racing Ralph's were on the narrower rims,but with a better profile.
At least until I get a new back end sorted anyway. Then I should be able to go full fat. :)
It's a bit tight, if you plan on muddy riding.
I think the old 2.4" Ralphs were known to be a big tyre. I've had both Conti X-King 2.4 and Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.35 on 30mm internal rims and the casing on both measured the same, at 61mm.
