I wonder with Froome cracking so badly, if they'd changed CG leaders overnight or Landa was told to see what he could do.
I don't think Froome liked this and he's got form for attacking the leader but it seemed like a particularly stupid move to drag the rest of the GC contenders up with him and help Aru stay in yellow.

Froome 'cracked' 200 metres from the end of yesterday's stage, how does that come to be described as bad?
Sky played a tactical great game today, they got Landa in an early move, and forced others to chase. Then Kwiatkowski marked the counter attack from Quintana and Barguil, meaning they had two riders up the road, so if it came back together, they'd have strength in numbers. Froome put pressure on his rivals, then got involved in a tactical game that slowed the chase, the gap at the finish was the same as it was with 25 kms to go, which moved Landa up on GC. Best of all, Aru remains in yellow meaning his weak team have to control the race for the next few stages, through some tough terrain.
All this on a stage where the expectation before the Tour was that Sky would be vulnerable.
Anyone shed some light on Sky's tactics? Landa up the road was a stroke genius, helping Aru chase him down not so much. Did Froome get antsy when he realised Landa could be in yellow?
