I love cooking, i would like to still love cooking
I do realise this is a four month old post, alas I have been away from this forum for quite a while and though I'd respond anyway as hardly anybody replied to you as far as I can see.
Well I guess you're quite conditioned / programmed to eat meat, as you said yourself.
It's like a strong habit basically, and I don't know how old you are but likely you've been living (eating) like this for quite some years, so the habit will be very hard to break.It's all in your mind.
There's a voice mentioning that "something is missing" when there's no meat on the plate and you'll basically have to explain over and over that it's fine the way it is.
The voice will not listen to reason though - so arguing with it is somewhat pointless; in the end you'll instead create a new voice, one that's saying "ah, fuck, this (vegan food you just ate) is so damn tasty I want more of it", or "hmm, I feel so much better / healthier (after a few weeks just leaving out animal products), this is awesome".

To be honest I don't have any, but there's myriads of awesome recipes online.

Hello everyone. I have had a crisis of conscience which started from an environmental perspective, but has now extended to thinking about it from an animal welfare perspective. In any case, I seem to have found myself as a Vegan (admittedly i do eat some fish like mussels)
This is a pretty big move for me, my main hobby up until now is meat curing and making salami. I actually still have a 2kg iberico pork shoulder curing in my dedicated curing fridge which i was very excited about and now just makes me worried about what i`m going to invest all my spare time in!
Anyway, does anyone have any good vegan cookbook recommendations? I love cooking, i would like to still love cooking, i`m just so programmed to think about cooking the meat and building it from there.
