Do you reckon Zenith's lawyers have written a letter yet?

HMMMMMM.....
Was thinking about transplanting the Eagle-7 movement into a dive case, if one came up in the correct ligne, then I saw this...
On the bay, £155-ish, plus postage from France, plus the cost of assembly (seller will do it for 30€).
I'd love an internal rotating bezel. No screw-down on the crowns it seems, and probably not worth £200. Seller had a couple, so must have bought a lot of old stock sometime.
EDIT: See here, too... http://www.intlwatchleague.com/showthread.php?2993-Supercompressor-Homage-build

Orbis Morgan is rubbish. Mine split after 6 weeks an the buckle released once in the surf.

Well, I'm intrigued. I fear the crystal is plastic though.

I want a zenith...
Hope you didnt lose the watch!?!?

• #23083
Yea it has an interesting edge on the side-on shot like plastic, but who knows? Maybe it's worth swapping out for a low cost homage.
That said, you could buy 5 new Vostoks for that. Shame there's no internal bezel Vostok, that I've seen anyway.

when dammit gets back from wherever the fuck he is, I'm going to grab his rallye strap for the speedblaster and get alsal to swap it and clean it up.
I will be purchasing a new bomber for back ups. I was thinking about another Seiko diver, but it would only get used a few times a year.
boom!

I want another pink bomber but I destroyed that riding home drunk one night, I think the universe was trying to tell me something... Black it is...

the fake ones on ebay are shithouse - the plastic bits are weak and snap instantly. in fact, I seem to remember one of your pink ones dying in brockwell park
-
• #23087
who would have thought there was a market for knock-off £20 watches?
-
• #23088
I bought a few of the dodgy ones before I splashed out on a real one, think it only lasted me a month or two...
Woke up with a grazed knee, a massive hangover and a totally destroyed pink bomber...

What is a pink bomber?
I saw a bakery selling giant iced buns called pink bombers once...

Missed out on a bunch of those 'bomber' watches locally, NOS for pennies. Never thought there was a market for them.

My housemate dropped the vostok komandirskie I was given, now the second hand only runs for 15-20 seconds before it gets stuck. That was fun for all of a week :(
-
• #23098
Do those watches have shock protection? Could be a stuck hairspring cool if you were lucky.

• #23099
Looks like your mate will be on ebay this evening
