He's an MMA fighter. He's going to be fighting a proper boxer in a bit. He's going to get fucked.
-
• #74255
Proper fucked.
It's all a bit silly.
Just like his whistle.

He was also being blatantly racist to the other boxing guy in their pre-boxing chat thing so no, fuck him.
-
• #74258
Ah, racism. An ideal way of drumming up press interest in your stupid show.
Anyone who's seen Rocky 3 already knows how it will end anyway.

I disagree.

Do you think hes got a chance? He's coming from a different sport to fight one of/the best boxers of his generation.
-
• #74271
He has literally no chance.
It's a money making exercise.

That's my assumption

Boxing at this level is rarely about anything but money - this is just an exaggerated version...
McGregor has a chance, any boxer has a chance, but it's tiny. His sparring partners are saying he's relatively easy to hit and that he doesn't carry much of a punch. In videos he looks unconventional, and not in a particularly good way or one that's likely to trouble Mayweather. Unless he's massively deteriorated since being inactive, Floyd's way too quick and slick for a plodder.
And Mayweather's team, holding the upper hand in all the negotiations, have been canny in getting the weight, gloves, etc. that they want - because McGregor needs this payday more than Floyd, unless stories about the tax he owes are true.
The way I see it, Mayweather will carry McGregor for a few rounds to give the punters their money's worth, before dismantling him. Then again, Lloyd Honeyghan had "literally no chance" against Don Curry...

I kinda hope for a 1st punch knockout but you know it's going to be an exhibition fight, 8 rounds or so before Floyd tears him apart.
-

Why tear him apart, when you can fight for a draw and a rematch...
