    Make sure you see a picture of the actual chain ring you're buying if you go for Gebhardt, they seem to change their pattern on a whim.

  • Thanks for the heads-up! I won't file the ends of the spider arms off though, that would qualify as puppy killing imo. And I don't see what they have to do with the front derailleur. Or am I missing something?

  • Interested to see how it turns out too. I have a starfish crank that I might use.. got a Spesh TA chainring that's nice but the cutouts getting cut in half by the crank spider are a little annoying

    The spider extensions buttress the chain ring so that it flexes less when you change up.
