  • Not a dynamo light question per se, but here goes anyway...

I have a dynamo front hub and a B&M USB Charger.
I use this to keep Garmin, phone etc. charged up on tours, but I'd also like the option to be able to charge up my lights.

Problem is, my current lights do not function at the same time as charging. Are there lights that do? I don't want a permanent set of dynamo lights on the bike - Id rather be able to move them between bike with Dynamo and other bikes without.

    Any suggestions?

  • The Exposure Revo is designed to be dynamo powered. If it can be plugged to a small battery pack as well then it could fit your bill?

Another option could be any light powered by a battery pack that is also charged by USB, and have two packs.

  • Cheers.
Trying to minimise kit (remove need for external power supply), so carrying battery packs is a bit counter-productive!
I'll look at the exposure revo in more detail. Possibly a bit pricey, but definitely the kind of thing I'm after.

  • Exposure Revo

If this is designed to be dynamo powered it'll take AC current, which @T4NY4 won't get from the B&M USB charger.

I dunno if lights that can be charged and illuminated simultaneously exist, but even if they do, I'd bin the idea and get cheap proper dynamo lights. Just having dynamo lights doesn't mean you have to get rid of the ones you can move between bikes.

  • My Revo dynamo only.
