If there's some pain not going away I put some Voltaren at the next control. But usually it sorts itself out. If the pain is on the front of the ankle, tightening up my shoelaces a bit usually solves it.

Always? Somethings wrong if you always need it.
Paracetamol, so long as you don't OD on it seems to fuck with less other things in your body.
