I use a proprietary Yamaha bluetooth dongle thing into my modern Yamaha A-S500 amp and use a QED Puck into some nice old stereo gear upstairs so wasn't overly thrilled when I received a Bose Soundlink Colour portable blutooth speaker as a gift last Christmas. I didn't think I had much need for it.
It turns out to be great though. It's small, tough, looks good and is super handy in the garden, the car, the office and on holiday. Battery lasts ages, charges quickly from blackberry type tether and the sound is genuinely surprisingly good. The bass in particular is very cleverly processed to pop out in quite a pleasing and revealing way. I love it.
It's also the only bluetooth gadget I have that will accept being paired with multiple devices without sh*tting itself. It announces what it's attached to when you turn it on and it's easy to scroll to the one you want.
