  • May's getting increasingly bizarre in her attempts to somehow secure legitimacy to stay. I hope she goes soon, although one doesn't know at this stage what fresh horror may replace her.

    Still talking in empty soundbites:

“At this critical time in our history, we can either be timid or we can be bold,” she will say. “We can play it safe or we can strike out with renewed courage and vigour, making the case for our ideas and values and challenging our opponents to contribute, not just criticise … In everything we do, we will act with an unshakable sense of purpose to build the better, fairer Britain which we all want to see.”

Admittedly, in inviting others to submit policies, she has to be open and not prescriptive, but this just sounds like the same contentless bollocks she's specialised in for the past year and a bit.

  • It's all well and good talking about creating a society for all, but May has done nothing more than talk. The policies in the Tory manifesto certainly didn't match her rhetoric.

Opposition parties know she is a lame duck, who is toxic with the electorate, so why on earth should they help her?

    It's desperate stuff.
