Froome to be DQ? For shoving aru into spectators.
-
• #1678
Yup, 5 minute lag and a lot of spoilers on here :)

Soap opera stuff, amazing !
-
• #1680
He should be.
-
• #1681
Imagine Aru did that to Froome (or any English speaking rider?). Oof. The internet would be on fire.
-
• #1682
Give him a minute penalty or something, will open the GC right up
-
• #1683
Should be DQ indeed but will be let off. Reasonable punishment for breaking the unwritten rules, innit?
-
• #1684
We'll see if Aru says anything. Maybe they just got tangled.
-
• #1685
I doubt Aru will. Enough animosity towards him in the peloton as it is.

Its made the post race TV coverage. Watching on RAI (Italian TV)
-
• #1687
If it was accidental, it conveniently happened about 1.5 km after Aru's attack.
-
• #1688
Shows how different the coverage on itv4 is. They mentioned it at the time and then swept it under the carpet saying it was an accident and Froome had apologised.
-
• #1689
Aru didn't look bothered. As was pointed out a lot in the wake of #Sagengate, physical contact is not unusual in the peloton. But given the timing it's hard to believe it wasn't intentional on Froome's behalf.

• #1690
That was no accident! Ha

• #1691
News about Porte? I'm a bit worried
-
• #1692
Problem is aso/uci comms have backed themselves into a corner, with one DQ for possible dangerous behavior. What do they now do with definitive dangerous behavior.
-
• #1693
Blimey. Only caught last 40km. More in that than rest of week so far. Hope Porte isn't too badly hurt & WB canget his stage another day. Froome DQ unlikely surely? He could well argue his chain slipped or he saw a mouse and he swerved for that.

First news on Porte from TDF doctor, she just told TV he was conscious, remembered it all, was speaking. Verdict: "Plus de peur que de mal,"
-
• #1695
He was conscious when he got to the ambulance.
-
• #1696
Nibali taught Aru well.
My thoughts exactly when i saw that.

NBC reporter on the scene at Porte's crash says Porte was telling doctor he's OK
-

As was pointed out a lot in the wake of #Sagengate, physical contact is not unusual in the peloton.
That is not usual contact in the peloton.

I had £3 on Barguil at 66-1. For a brief moment my account showed a balance of £201, only to disappear moments later.
Not disappointing in the slightest.
ffffffff.....

Anyway, it's quite possibly nothing. One Twitter comment says he unclipped and lost balance. If so, lucky Aru was there!
@hoke knows all about his pain
But I guess if the battery is going to die, in a descent to flat might as well be the place to do it.
