Thanks for your reply. I can make out the I and E A and I'm sure the L is there under the paint. I don't suppose you have any idea who made those frames? It's interesting as I used to ride at Herne Hill with British Cycling, though I didn't get the frame from there. I now use this bike for my 52 mile round trip daily commute from Herts into Islington.
what does the seattube medallion thingy say?
If it's stamped ILEA then it's an old Herne Hill Rental bike
