Been using these for over 3 years, no problems whatsoever.

Don't listen to these brakelezz lunatics^^ ^^^ ;)
Ive been using a Dirty Harry just because it came with a clamp on brake I bought and it's fairly innocuous. I'd think for your build though I'd want something more traditional looking. Dammit found something for his Rondella that I remember liking.. might even have been one of those Dia Compe brakes

I drilled the hole out a little so the narrower bit of the cable end can sit snug into it - that what you did?
-
• #207
@SideshowBob, please don't drill the fork
-
• #210
is that essentially just a clamp-on adaptor that you could use any brake calliper with?
-
• #211
Don't worry, the forks will not be drilled.
Good lord, thank you.

If you are fitting the caliper adapter please protect those lovely fork blades with tape!

Will do @jambon.
I need to work out what clamp I need, there are 3 - round, oval & aero.
The round clamp pictured on the caliper above is metal with the other two looking like plastic or plastic covered metal.
I need to measure the forks to work out whether they are round or aero.

The forks are Aero after measuring them. Track Supermarket has a blog which gives advice on the clamp issue - https://tracksuperblog.com/2016/06/13/what-clamp-shape-do-i-need-for-my-dia-compe-clamp-on-brake-kit/

you don't need a brake for that, go for around a 65 gear inch and learn skidz, I learnt brakeless in Bristol and never had an accident, started off on the flat downs and befoe long park street was no problem
but I guess it is down to your perception of danger, I've got a +21% by me and I don't go down it with brakes on my road bike

Drill the fork. It's just a bike and is meant for riding, don't listen to people who just like pictures on the internet ;)
Also only consider riding brakeless if you don't mind riding really slow and occasionally crashing.

There will definitely be a brake as I've had previous experience in being hit by a car and it hurts a lot.

Was the car running a brake ;)?

Brakes on cars are lame, the cool kids use drogue parachutes
