Got informed by a motorcyclist that there was a cycle path parallel to the road I was on. Along the canal path.
Couldn't tell if he was being a dick or just thought he was being helpful.
Dont know what I am meant to reply to that information "yep, I know. Cheers?"

Probably being a dick... But best to think positively and assume he was trying to be helpful :)

I usually point off into the distance and say there's a motorway over there, why don't you use it ?

Oof. Given that one bus had just passed through, that driver must have cut into that lane and down the bus-only, one-way bit just out of shot, a fraction of a second before they came into shot - and at speed.

Old street this morning. West of the station, towards LMNH, a Police car with lights and sirens gunning it East to west in the bus lane on the wrong side of the road! Impressive. Glad I was a ped.

The driver bounces over the curb just before it hits the bus so either had already lost control or not paying attention. Awesome video though!

He probably really needed a poo

Been there

Probably took care of that around the same time they hit the bus.

Something like a 40mph impact, that can seriously mess you up, internal organs tear and haemor haemrr hammeyr bleed a lot, it's how Diana was murdered.

Fucking fairweather morons everywhere.
Decided to count the number of people who actually so much as look let alone indicate before suddenly changing direction on my way home today.
Total count: 0

Got told off by the po po for filtering on the right....when I mentioned I was turning right at the lights was told to use the cycle lane even though there was a cluster fuck of people already using it. Can't help people in hot tin machine's.
Would filter correctly again.

Wait, wouldn't an Internet Bike Fit generally increase Scoblebricks rather than reduce them?
-
• #17618
He didn't go there.
Then he must have been coming from there. :)

I was in a 120kph impact. Got off lightly with a broken back.
The air bags exploding would have hurt more than anything in that Audi.

Commute from old flat to new flat today, waiting for the internet man to come and make internet at new flat. 500m, no sweat, work from new home. Nice.

Saw the aftermath of a nasty crash on Hyde Park Corner this morning. A silver Prius had been hit on the rear quarter and spun full 180 by a double decker. From positions of the vehicles it looked as though the prius had tried to take an exit late from the middle lane and crossed in front of the bus which had hit the side and spun the car round.

Followed the Artisan Bread company van thru Archway. Nice freshly baked smells. Beats following the bin lorry. Then Regents Park and this epic sky.

Saw a couple of young kids on a scooter cautiously jumping the lights at the Grays Inn Road / Clerkenwell Road junction last night, weaving around peds at a reasonable speed. Despite the obvious variety of criminal offences involved, it was a pleasant change from other scooter arseholery encountered on my commute, the most recent being some scrote who undertook me at speed while I was signalling left and starting to turn, whacking my arm and then threatening further violence when I described him as being one of the standard anatomical parts. Since I started going through Barnsbury I seem to be seeing a lot more scooter related nonsense, but it may just be the general trend at work.

Scooter cuntery is definitely on the rise in general.

It seems a lot of them are nicked, used to steal some mobiles and dumped so the riders don't really give a toss.
I don't actually commute, but drop in here for the comments. Safe riding, all.
Banter/10.
