  • But all the best wurdz

  • Given America's falling standings when viewed by most of the rest of the world, I suspect Putin will look at Trump and consider it a job well done.

  • Yeah, it's taken 4 days, I passed out three times!

  • That's because they don’t write good. They have people over there, like Maggie Haberman and others, they don’t — they don’t write good. They don’t know how to write good.

  • See that Donald Trump cozying up to all these mental countries like Saudi Arabia and Poland, idiot!

  • Coalition of cunts. New World Bipolar Disorder.

  • Coalition of cunts

    Welcome to lfgss

  • The transcript of Trump's speech in Poland includes this line 6 times :)

AUDIENCE: Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump!

  • The Trumpshake never disappoints:

  • How to insert Gifs?!

Put the url ending in .gif (remove the 'v' from the imgur url) between ![]( and ).

  • woohoo! thanks :)

  • Can't stop watching the handshake snub gif.

  • It's perfect.

  • but she did shake his hand. just after shaking Melanias. she made a bee-line to shake Melanias and then shook Trumps. its just his natural state to assume he always gets first handshake because he is more important.

  • If purposeful, it's petty and embarrassing. It made me cringe. It also shows how toxic trump is, and how his horrible politics are causing others to act just as immature as he does.

  • trump vs putin today
on a scale of 1 - 10 how out of his depth will trump be

it'll be like mr bean vs predator

  • It definitely wasn't purposeful - she'd already shook hands with him, then went to shake hands with Melania and he presumed she wanted to shake hands with him again. After the awkward moment, she realised he was looking put out and shook hands with him a second time. So I think as @jaitch says his fault for assuming people continually want to shake hands with him.

I also wouldn't presume that Trump isn't welcome in Poland. Duda is independent but has resisted Poland taking its fair share of migrants and the governing Law and Justice party is the same party that tried to ban abortion, among other things. There's some pretty nasty politics in Poland these days so I'm sure Trump fitted right in...

  • trump has made a point of praising/meeting with authoritarian regimes. Men (funny, aside from Maybot, its always men) who are strong and have eroded rights in their countries. Men who have put their own wealth before their country.

  • Men (funny, aside from Maybot, its always men)

This feels like bad stats. Compare proportion of current male leaders who are strong and have eroded rights and the proportion of female leaders who have done the same.

If you do the same comparison over all history I think you will find the women have it!

It's a scaling fallacy. Nearly all leaders in history are male.

  • It sounds like the Putin meeting - scheduled to more or less clash with a G20 meeting on environmental issue meaning that Trump can't be there to get a bollocking for signalling his intent to abandon the Paris accord - will only have 6 people in attendance despite the (apparent) concerted efforts by White House staff to get some sensible people in the room. So, Putin + advisor, Trump + Tillerson, and a couple of translators.

  • The idea that it was a deliberate snub is wish fulfilment by some. If anything, it was very conventional - one wife moving to acknowledge another, possibly worried that she'd been left out. Trump's expression is priceless enough; in his mind, there's no excuse for him not being the constant centre of attention.

The current Polish administration is very much aligned with Trump and his people know that. His speech was full of dog whistles for hard right, nationalist racists in Poland.

  • Agreed. I read somewhere that it would have been abnormal in Poland to shake his hand first - I don't know if that's true or not.

His little face is great though - especially as, presumably, someone would have written what the etiquette would be in a briefing pack that he didn't read.

  • men who are strong

Since when did authoritarian and populist become synonymous with strong?

  • the handshake is in

    nothing abnormal at all
except maybe that underarm tap ? kgb code ?
