Are you sure it's the pedals? Could be bottom bracket, cranks, etc. Check also clicks/creaks/noises thread:

If the pedals have fubarred the crank threads, it's new crank arm time though :(

Going by the fact that it stops when I remove and re-grease, I'd assume so.

Try fitting some pedal washers?
By greasing I presume you mean the thread not the bearings?
Check the crank arm for protruding bits of metal and/or roughness and file/sand down if present.

Yeah the threads.
Pedal washers might be a good idea, only a couple quid.
Will inspect the cranks this weekend.

Built up new bike recently.
Long story short, the pedals creak when putting power through them.
I take them off, give a good greasing, and do them back up nice and tight and the creak/click/tick goes away for a few days.
How can I fix this permanently?!
(The pedals are pretty cheap)
