Did you see the one that said 'Just hope a slimey limey doesn't win, Deutschland uber alles'. Cyclingnews is the cesspool of cycling websites, bar none.

That first one was ridiculously harsh. The road narrowed, Cavendish held his line.

I have no idea if 'racing incident' is a fair description (Boardman apparently said it was, Hammond disagrees (as DD CS he probably would but I've always thought he has good judgement), and so the debate will continue to rage), but whatever it was, that was such a rubbish stage finale (because of both crashes, not just the second one). Sagan out (I'm no fan but don't know if the punishment is just or proportionate because of the aforementioned quarrel of the faculties), Cavendish possibly out, Degenkolb says he's hurting but wants to continue, only Swift says he's OK.

'Sometimes I should watch images before I say something. Apologies to @petosagan as I think that decision of the judge is too hard.'
Tweet from Greipel just now. You called it.

Yeah I remember it feeling it was bullshit at the time, but I was extremely bias haha. Man I hated Thor Hushovd.
-
• #533
If only people had the faintest clue what it is they're saying there ...
Fallersleben has a lot to answer for this rubbish line.
-
• #534
People hated Hushovd?

Probably gave him the point/time penalty, then reviewed the earlier crash too and had no choice but to DQ. It shows the same behaviour flicking elbows that cause crashes.
-
• #536
Yeah it was ugly. I called him a prick and got banned for it. His comment remained.
-
• #537
Dunno about people, I certainly did. In fact if I look within I still think he's a massive prick to this day #Cavfanboy

Shame Demare's win is getting overlooked. The green jersey competition will be a hard fight now I hope.
Richie Porte for the win tomorrow, 10 or 15 seconds up on Froome. -

Not being overlooked. In fact now he's in green it was a major factor in the commissaires deliberations #trollololol

Suggest you mention that one to Cavendish yourself. He gets incandescent when that one comes up.

If there's contact, you're well within your rights to go down. That's the modern game.

Had to remind myself of this. Cav is right on Veelers wheel, you can see him looking under for him, he then looks over his shoulder, jinxs to the left then back to the right as Cav comes past. Cav shoulder checks as he does and Veeler tumbles. Was Cav sanctioned? Looked like Veelers lost his line as he looked over his shoulder to me, as you do, then moved back into Cav and Cav shoved back.

What about Demare cutting sharply across Kristoff? Supposed to keep to their line, no?
Very much this.

Just watched a recording of the highlights on ITV, Sagan didn't do much wrong as far as I could see and the elbow looked like an after-the-event reaction. The jury should be looking at why Sagan and Cav ended up squeezed over that side of the road.
-
• #546
Hood of Cav's brake is under Sagan's wrist and he only lifts elbow to free it. Cav shoulder blade done?
-
• #547
How often do race officials say "nope. Got it wrong. You can come back in!"
-
• #548
I wouldn't. Would be like Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior (Wrestlemania 6) all over again :(

Would rep.

Should be a red card and a 2 match ban
He did get relegated fof blocking Hushovd in 2011? He also took himself and Gerrans out in 2014.
Not that I'm condoning the Cav criticism. Sagan has got a lot of angry fans.
