I usually check to forum to escape work not read about it :(

Noticed a minor typo on the website:
Clearance for 35c without mudguards (700c frames have clearance for up
to 40c 650b ,650c frames have clearance for 26 x 1.25.Open bracket but no closing bracket. I'm sure website errors are top of the list but thought I'd mention it regardless.

This explains why you're always putting the brakes down by the bottom bracket...

A few pages back we did your appraisal. It didn't go well...

OK, so its letter letter number number number.
Your frame numbers have not changed since your confirmation emails.
Also, 22kg of pmw bits arrived this weekend, so actual work can now begin...

Slow down, shimano di2 ultegra hydro isn't ready yet.
-
• #415
There's no shimano anything available at the moment. The last bike I built had to have the group set ordered from 5 different places as no where had everything, I dont know what is going on with shimano and Madison atm, but it is an utter cluster fuck and is seriously messing with scores on the doors for me.
-
• #416
I think shimano are going to distribute their own stuff and ditch madison, so their running down stock levels, which is a pain in the arse.
-
• #417
Thats what we thought, but having recently spoken to people at French distribution center no one else seems to know about that. Whatever is going on, its really tedious. I think its a double whammy of shimano making up delivery dates, and machinations around distribution nstworks which is making it so tiresome.

Tasty.
I really need to start reading outside the TT, Ultra and beer threads.
-
• #419
This is why.
Madison is struggling at the moment because they are getting the stick for someone that Shimano couldn't delivered.
Shimano is usually late with everything, but in this instance, they are really very late.

Did Scherrit talk to you about 'adventures in mid foot'?
-
• #422
Its annoying, but not quite ready to lick the lathes power supply...

Mine or yours? Only spoken to him briefly after TABR and it was mostly me bitching about everything going wrong. I can't really keep up, you're still having Achilles issues I take it? Are you going to join my club?
-
• #424
I've heard rumours but nothing solid, and it seems to add up but I wish they'd hurry the fuck up either way.

Achilles a lot better, but still swollen a week on. Hoping it will be resolved for lel.
Super interesting read.
Over the last few years, I've taken interest in Toyota's 'Andon cord' (for those that don't know, it's basically a button that each member of staff can press when there's a problem in the manufacturing).
I've also read Black Box Thinking, which goes into the learning from failures etc. Can anyone recommend any books that are along this line? Thanks
p.s, sorry to post something not bicycle related! Fantastic work, guys! :)
