That's exaclty I discoverd my rear wheel had when I hit at ninety degrees that chain between two bollards off that bridge cycle path in Düsseldorf.

Next best thing to hitting a lampost in the middle of a park.

Good to see that Shinscar back, now if I could only remember what she looks like.

They were crashing because they didn't slow enough. That's no fault of the brake pads/rim combo, they were just trying to win. Risk vs. reward.
To answer your question though, I have a SRAM S80 which is deep and alu braking surface. Also older Zipp 404s

Boyz needs to be rockin the 28s like that famous hippy hippy guy does. Gripz

Small Jamaican lady with a taste for the hard liquor and more than the occasional flutter on the horses if I recall correctly.

What's up with Degenkolb? Results over the first three stages have been surprisingly poor.
Hard to see past Kittel tomorrow but wouldn' surprise me if Sagan nicked another because of the false flat.

Has ocelot gruber retired

Gripes to win tomorrow

Man, would love to have the time to fool around with it but I'm feeling so ill I was giving serious contemplation to throwing myself under a bus yesterday. Could. Not. Even. Deal. And had to go to work today as that's more preferable than dealing with the job centre.
Ocelot is on gardening leave till the Vuelta at least :(

Could be a good shout, he does fire well on an uphill too.
Cav might rear his petulant little head too...

Even when the peloton is lined out, one man is looking down at his stem...
On a more serious note - how do Sky play this? Will they want to keep the yellow jersey and see how far Thomas can go in it or is it too stressful to try and defend it for three weeks? Is there a precedent?

It's great for them though isn't it? They basically now have two yellow jerseys on the road that can do A B attacks. Other GC teams have to respond to both. They also have a "spare" in case of crashes etc.

The real question seems to be why were people using TT tyres in the wet. When the rain had been long forecast. David Millar was quite vexed about that.

G can't hold onto it for too long or else Froome might get twitchy. It is his jersey after all.
-
• #317
Them's the rules. Or the conventions at least.
Froome let Wiggo win, this year he gets his reward.

Bouhanni is @25/1 on paddy power this morning. £5 each way nets £160
-
• #321
I'll give you better odds than that. PayPal me your fiver and I'll do 50/1.
-
• #322
That's a public offer btw.
-
• #323
Wasn't it last year where he got the jersey way earlier than planned and kinda had to defend it out of necessity?
-
• #324
Bouhanni is shit.
-
• #325
Not this old chestnut. Bouhanni is not shit, he's one of the most successful riders currently racing in terms of wins. He's won multiple stages of both the Giro and the Vuelta, and will win at the Tour.
It just might not be today.
It didn't really looks like braking was the problem, more just outright grip.
