  • Are there any deep aero wheels with a metal brake track? If there are why didn't anyone use them in the tt. It was so wet and cornering speeds were so affected that better braking might have saved some people a good number of seconds, I would have thought.

  • It didn't really looks like braking was the problem, more just outright grip.

  • They were crashing because they didn't slow enough. That's no fault of the brake pads/rim combo, they were just trying to win. Risk vs. reward.

    To answer your question though, I have a SRAM S80 which is deep and alu braking surface. Also older Zipp 404s

  • The real question seems to be why were people using TT tyres in the wet. When the rain had been long forecast. David Millar was quite vexed about that.
