Build a stop gap cheap road bike for the summer? A 2nd hand CAAD10 or something. If you were my size I'd have lent you one of mine .. I literally have a fleet now.

Such ventures I lose money on. I'm not good at the "cheap" bit. I also lack space, so when the Seven arrives that's all I could accommodate.

Well relatively cheap ;)

You can get something nice and lose less money when you sell once the Seven is ready. The Alu version of Domane disc e.g.

Etap maybe proven 'on here' but HRD is a different beast and 1st gen for Sram under hydro and electronic. Personally I think the hood shape is ugly too.
