The retro flyer is awesome. Particularly like the scanned from a cheap printer effect, and the way it softens the massive pixels of the low-res background.

Update! Event info has just dropped into my inbox.

I'm rider #12 - guaranteed two rides - first round at 19.06, second round some time between 19.45 and 20.00 depending on where I finish in the first. Then knockout after that to decide round three and the final, which might be wishful thinking!

I'm much more excited now I know I've got two efforts. I thought it was straight knockout from the start, which had the potential to be quite disappointing!

Weather does look good, although I'd prefer it being a few degrees cooler.

Not sure how it'll work spectating between rounds, but I want to heckle too. I think Fiona is bringing my big cowbell, so we can hopefully get a little gang going.

I shall be feeding him haribo and caffeine pills on Friday afternoon so that he is raring to go. Top 10 position assured!
