  • Wonder woman is garbage as well.

  • Word.
    WW was generic DC bullshit.

  • Those were fucking superb!

  • 12 July next episode :)

  • The House - mildly amusing, not laugh out loud funny but alright nonsense.

  • Baby Driver tonight. Have my reservations, hope it's worth it.

  • Time crimes : Not bad, time travel movie that's not a dime a dozen :) Man accidentally ends up time traveling, problems ensue..

The white knight: Also not bad. Boy tries to find his dad who is imprisoned under oppressive regime.

  • Just got out of the cinema.

Really enjoyed it. Lots of entertainment, great music etc. Would watch again.

  • Watched Okja on netflix this afternoon.

Looks fantastic, some great performances (jake gyllenhaal was awesome) and a nice story. Felt it lacked a tiny something but I couldn't tell you what.

    8.5/10

  • Love time crimes!

  • Just finished Okja. Enjoyed it. Solid 8.5 from me too

  • Did enjoy. Much funnier and less cliché than the trailer makes out

  • Finally watched Trainspotting 2 last night. Never going to be a classic like the original but I thought it rounded off the story nicely. Great visuals and music too.

  • End of Watch passed the will the Missus stay awake past the first ten minutes test. Veeery entertaining and only just over the 90 minute mark I think. Exquisite prank scene.

  • The Belko Experiment. About as close as i think you can get to a modern day video nasty. properly grim.

  • In the video nasties bucket: Dream home, Ichii the killer, A serbian film, The Eight Immortals Restaurant: The Untold Story are good "nasty violence" watches. For a given value of good... as in acting/story not too bad.

Ebola syndrome, Men behind the sun I haven't dared watched yet... :/

  • nightcrawler starring jake gyllenhall
pretty good film, was on tv a week or so back

creepy voyeuristic loaner does weird stuff shocker, he has intelligence and determination on his side though, which sees him achieve things in the film you wouldn't imagine right at the start

    definately worth a watch

  • If you enjoyed Jakey G in Nightcrawler, consider checking him out in Prisoners and Enemy. All three constitute some of my favourite films. Stylish, dark, complex.

  • *checks freeview

  • I saw it in the cinema; loved it.

    Maybe I'll rewatch soon...

  • Basket case: Badly acted, very B but lovingly made.

It's a movie about a guy who carries his siamese twin around in a basket, so it was never going to be subtle way to discuss jealousy and the problems of being a carer ;)

Like brain damage it is "good b" I think, it's bad in many ways but there's something to it / about it :)

  • Lego Batman. Had high hopes for it following the previous Lego movie, it was decent but found it a bit disappointing. Many references and in-jokes

  • Ghosts in the Shell. I liked it!

i have not seen the cartoon which i'm sure is vastly superior.

  • Watched Here Alone on Netflix. Surprised me with how good it was as I hadn't heard of it previously.
The zombie genre may have been done to death but this movie is quality.

    #spoilers:

Post-apocalyptic world scenario, some kind of air born pathogen causes most of the world's population to really, really like eating raw human flesh, intestines, brains, etc.
Story is of one survivor left to scavange to survive in the wilderness after losing her husband and daughter.
The zombies are more background and don't feature heavily apart from a few key scenes. The hooman drama is forefront.

  • Tom Holland's a good Spiderman.
