Keeping up with spending money on cars... My cheap 306 gti6 project might cost me. Discovered an exhaust leak which is worse than the rotten rear box. The exhaust manifold is a 4 into one (work of art) but where it connects to the main downpipe has a rings and sprung bolt tension flangy arrangement to manage engine movement. Seems the seal is not working due to aged loose springs. Apparently hard and expensive to replace. Wondering about using a flex joint in place of it? I don't really know enough to start messing with it myself so off to a professional!
