Looks real nice. In my experience, the carved version is a lot softer than the non carved, but also more hammocky.. as in there's only really one good place to sit.

What's the diff between C15 and C17?

Width.

I'd need the wide I think.
How'd you measure your ass width?

Pedaling felt rough. Appeared the cranks had faced the drive side bb cup. Barely spins now. The adapter pretty much fell out of the frame. Absolute shite.
Transfering all the parts to the backup frame that has a normal threaded bb shell as i'm planning on doing some touring in a few weeks and don't want shit failing on me.

Sorry to hear that...
basically the same issue I faced. Will pass mine on. Splashing some cash and getting a sequoia now... -

This is with the SRAM GXP right?

Get it threaded for T47?

Yup... maybe you have more luck with Shimano hollowtech 2, at least if my theory holds. Also still interested in that carbon fork?

Yeah mine was sram as well. Ironic as it's a sram adapter. Will be ordering a cheap bb and go from there. But if i will have to get a whole new shimano crankset and chainring just to get it to work properly i'm over this frame.

Ah that's no fun.
Know this doesn't help at this stage, but I put a plastic pressfit and ugly BB 30 cranks on mine. Worked for the 600km I did on it so far. Also thanks for the heads up on the frame, rides lovely. Will finally post a picture in cp tomorrow...

any updates on this project?
would you be so kind into measuring the chainstay length (center of bb shell to center of rear axle) of this frame and informing us?
-
• #196
Sold the frame so this project is dead. One of my most shortlived ones but i just couldn't be arsed to mess around with pressfit. Thrust can perhaps help you.

pressfit is indeed a pain. that's what's giving me second thoughts about the frame as well. did you find any other affordable frames than could have a similar tire clearance? i'm looking forward into finding a gravel frame that i can fit my low trail fork to, and run compass 650 x 48mm switchback hills tires with fenders.

surly straggler

This. I found the geometry pretty lively and chainstay length was on point. PF adapter issue was a bummer though. Passed mine on as well.

i'm seriously considering buying it to build with a low trail fork i already have. it's so cheap that even with a new bottom bracket and headset, it would still be cheaper than buying a straggler or something like that new, and the head angle being at 73 is even better for low trail. BTW it weighs the same as the straggler does... I currently ride an old hybrid with disc tabs brazed on and a reraked fork. it was a really cheap conversion just to see how it would feel (instagram links below), but i want something more lively now.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BVF1JMgg35Q/?taken-by=yabo_boyeunless anyone here in europe (germany preferred) is willing to sell a frame with BSA that clears 650b x 48mm tires with fenders or 27.5 x 2.1 offroads...? ;)
I did a bit of research regarding BBs and these two seem like good options instead of cheap adapters:

Can't remember but here are some similar ones for cheap.
